BBVA Leases Space in Renovated Weston Centre
Following a $2 million makeover, San Antonio’s downtown Weston Centre property has secured BBVA Compass Inc. as a tenant. The banking institution will occupy nearly 29,000 square feet of the nearly 500,000-square-foot building.
The first and second floor will be utilized, respectively, for retail banking space and a corporate office area. Recent renovations translate to an open design, natural lighting and several conference rooms. The 1989-built, 32-story building – the city’s tallest – is also set to receive a fitness center and yoga studio.
Weston Properties’ Mona Ghawi spoke to the building’s fresh tenant mix.
“This building used to be mainly attorneys, and that percentage is going down,” Ghawi told the San Antonio Business Journal. “We’re getting some tech companies in and businesses like Coca-Cola.”
