Baywood Hotels Will Open 100th Hotel . . . in San Antonio

Baywood Hotels, a Maryland-based hotel development and investment firm, will be opening the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Riverwalk at 408 E. Houston St. in San Antonio in fall 2017. The opening will represent Baywood’s 100th U.S. location.

The 126-key Hilton Garden Inn will offer a gym, meeting rooms and a Garden Grille & Bar on the property’s first floor. Baywood has been involved with at least 18 hotels in the San Antonio-New Braunfels metro, and said it plans to open two more hotels in San Antonio by the end of 2017.

Baywood is also adding another 20 hotels nationwide by 2018. The company has properties in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Florida, New York, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kansas, Georgia and Colorado.
