Baylor Scott & White buy 41 NextCare Texas Urgent Care centers

Baylor Scott & White Buys Interest in 41 Urgent Care Centers

Baylor Scott & White Health — the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas, and NextCare Urgent Care — one of the nation’s leading privately held providers of urgent care have partnered up to expand high-quality, convenient care options for patients in Texas. NextCare is a privately held provider of over 170 urgent care clinics in 12 states.

Through the partnership, Baylor Scott & White will jointly own all 41 NextCare locations across Texas. Of the 41 locations, 14 are in Dallas-Fort Worth. The investment will expand Baylor’s presence beyond North Texas to Abilene, Houston and San Antonio.

NextCare will partner with Baylor Scott & White to provide increased patient access to appropriate care settings within the continuum of healthcare provided by Baylor Scott & White. The two organizations will work closely over the next several months to explore branding, digital integration and other enhancements to better serve customers.

The partnership now makes Baylor Scott & White one of the state’s largest health system providers of urgent care.
