Bass Pro Shops to Open Tucson Superstore

Bass Pro Shops will build a 100,000 square-foot store on an undeveloped 13-acre site between Costco and the new Hotel at the Bridges. It will be the companies third Arizona location. The new retail store is expected to open in late 2024.

Plans for the new Outdoor World store were revealed Tuesday as the Tucson City Council unanimously approved sales-tax incentives worth an estimated $1.4 million for the new store. The company will spend $35.8 million to complete the new store and is expected to hire approximately 128 full-and part-time workers.

The store’s inventory will be tailored to the needs of hunting and fishing in the region. In addition, the new location will display a wide assortment of new TRACKER OFF ROAD ATVs and side-by-side vehicles.

Hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities will be offered such as “Gone Fishing,” an annual event which aims to introduce families to fishing through catch-and-release ponds, casting games, and free fishing seminars to create the next generation of conservationists.
