Bass Pro Shops Chooses Midland for Next Store
Initial zoning has been approved for a planned entertainment and retail complex at State Highway 191 and State Highway 158. Bass Pro Shops has confirmed on its website it will be the major national retailer at the new $45 million mixed-use project.
The outdoor outfitter is expecting to move into a 65,000 square foot location. There will also be a 60,000-square-foot, two-story family cinema and entertainment center complete with an outdoor music and event stage as well as locations for smaller retailers and restaurants.
Bass Pro Shops is expected to employ more than 115 “Outfitters” at its new Midland location, many of whom will come from the local region. The new retail store is expected to open in late 2024. The Midland store will be the company’s 17th in the state of Texas.
