Basis Investment’s Tammy Jones to Chair REEC

Basis Investment Group’s founder and CEO Tammy Jones has been appointed as the chair of the board of directors for the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC), a professional trade association formed to promote the interests of minority executives in commercial real estate. Jones is the first female chair of the association.

Jones, a 2019 recipient of Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards, is succeeding Accordia Partners managing partner Kirk Sykes as REEC chair. James H. Simmons III, CEO and managing partner of Asland Capital Partners, will serve as the group’s vice chair.

“I’m honored to follow Kirk Sykes, Quintin Primo and some of the brightest minds in the commercial real estate industry who have led the board of this pivotal organization,” said Jones, who joined REEC in 2011, serving as a board member in 2014 and co-vice chair in 2019.
