Barrett Lo Picks Contractor for MXU Tower on Milwaukee Lakefront
Barrett Lo Visionary Development has selected Findorff as general contractor on Barrett Lo’s Couture mixed-use project on Milwaukee’s lakefront. Findorff had previously served as the general contractor for demolition and site prep, and also had partnered with Barrett Lo on The Moderne, also in Milwaukee.
“Findorff has been a great partner for us and we look forward to working with them on the start of construction later this summer,” said Barrett Lo CEO Rick Barrett. The 44-story Couture, a residential tower that will also contain 40,000 square feet of retail space, will be Milwaukee’s fourth-tallest building when completed.
The property will also be the cornerstone of the public-private Lakefront Gateway Project intended to connect Milwaukee’s downtown with its lakefront. To that end, it has been designed to include a multimodal transportation hub incorporating pedestrian walkways and access to bus and streetcar service, including the city’s proposed bus rapid transit line.
