Barker Pacific Acquires Four-Building Carlsbad Office Complex

Barker Pacific Group (BPG) announced the acquisition of The Quad, a four-building Class A office campus in Carlsbad, from Regent Properties. The price was undisclosed. According to Cushman & Wakefield, which brokered the deal, the sale represents the largest Class A office transaction in North San Diego County since 2023.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Aric Starck and Drew Dodds represented the seller in the transaction, while Matty Sundberg with CBRE provided leasing advisory support. All three will stay on as leasing agents for the complex, which is located at 5740-5770 Fleet St. within Carlsbad Ranch.

“The sale of The Quad underscores the ongoing flight to quality trend in North San Diego’s coastal office markets,” said Starck. BPG managing principal Mark Handin added, “This purchase aligns with our strategy of acquiring and repositioning high quality, cash-flowing, Class A suburban office properties in supply-constrained markets that exhibit strong underlying market fundamentals.”
