Baptist Emergency Hospital at Kelly Opens in S.A.

Baptist Health System, in conjunction with Emerus Holdings Inc., opened its latest micro-hospital, an 18,000-square-foot facility named Baptist Emergency Hospital at Kelly. The healthcare center is at 806 Cupples Rd. in southwest San Antonio, and is the eighth facility operating under the BHS-Emerus joint venture.

The hospital will be fully-licensed, CMS-accredited and in-network with most providers. The facility offers an emergency department and eight in-patient beds.

“With the addition of this new micro-hospital near Kelly Field, no resident of San Antonio is more than eight to 10 minutes away from our emergency services,” said Baptist Health System’s Matt Stone. “Our micro-hospitals also enhance care by providing direct integration with our large network of hospitals and specialists.”
