Bank of London Expands to Charlotte with 40K-SF One Independence Lease
Bank of London is expanding to Charlotte, NC with a 11-year lease on a 40,000-square-foot floor of One Independence Center in the city’s CBD.
Barry Fabyan, Charley Leavitt, and Grant Keyes with JLL represented landlord Crescent Communities, and Tommy Beecher with Savills represented The Bank of London.
The company will be opening its US Global Platform & Services headquarters in the location and creating 350 new jobs with a payroll impact of $33 million by 2026. New positions will include software development, compliance and risk, technology operations, infrastructure engineering and business operations.
“Without doubt Charlotte has some of the best bank technology and business talent that the US – and the world – has to offer,” said Anthony Watson, group chief executive and founder of The Bank of London. “I should know. I spent some of the happiest years of my working life in Charlotte when employed by Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo).”
