Baltimore Yacht Basin Marina at Baltimore Peninsula Sold to Investment Group

South Baltimore’s Yacht Basin Marina has been acquired by BYB Prop Real Estate Partners, a local investment group that has plans to execute a complete transformation of the property.

The Baltimore Peninsula development team, led by MAG Partners and MacFarlane Partners, in partnership with Sagamore Ventures and the Urban Investment Group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, announced the purchase of Baltimore Yacht Basin Marina by BYB Prop Real Estate Partners. BYB is led by Marcellous Butler, Principal, who is also the co-founder of floating-home provider Flohom.

The reimagined marina will contain approximately 150 slips and will ultimately house a number of Flohom vessels that will have short and long-term residential and commercial applications. The future plans include additional offerings to further activate the waterfront creating a “best in class” marina experience. “We’re looking to create a unique waterfront experience for Baltimore Peninsula’s residents and visitors, building onto the thriving community that already exists,” said Butler.
