Balos Restaurant Group to Launch Restaurant Concept in DC

Columbia Property Trust, Inc. announced an agreement with Balos Restaurant Group to create a new full-service Italian restaurant at 1800 M Street, its office tower in Washington, D.C.’s Central Business District.

As part of a 15-year lease, the Balos team will operate its new upscale concept within a 9,247-square-foot space across a portion of 1800 M’s ground floor and lower level. “We are thrilled to expand our relationship with the Balos team to 1800 M Street,” said Columbia Property Trust Ted Koltis, Executive Vice President and Head of Real Estate.

Columbia Property Trust was represented in-house by Koltis and Maria Blake, Vice President of Real Estate, in addition to David Dochter, Matthew Alexander, and Elena Kozak of Dochter & Alexander Retail Advisors. Balos Restaurant Group was represented by Constantine Gogos of Papadopolous Properties.

Situated at the corner of M and 18th Streets in D.C.’s Golden Triangle, 1800 M is surrounded by offices, residences, and hotels, and a variety of easy transit options. Notable office tenants at 1800 M Street include Berkeley Research Group and Wilkinson Barker Knauer.
