Ballston Business Improvement District Appoints Danette Nguyen as CEO

The Ballston Business Improvement District (BID) announced the appointment of Danette Nguyen as CEO, effective December 5. A Ballston resident with extensive leadership and community engagement experience, Nguyen brings a personal and professional commitment to the neighborhood’s success and prosperity.

“We are grateful for interim CEO Cassandra Hanley’s steady leadership during this transition time and we are thrilled to welcome Danette to the Ballston BID,” said Simon Carney, Senior Vice President, Brookfield Properties and President of the Ballston BID Board of Directors. “Danette’s impressive track record and experience are exactly what we need in Ballston. Her ability to collaborate across both private and public sectors, strategize, and execute economic initiatives is where she excels.”

Nguyen joins the Ballston BID from the Maryland Women’s Business Center (MWBC), a signature program of Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI), where she led initiatives to empower small businesses and drive economic growth. Her experience in strategic planning, budget management, and optimizing organizational operations will be instrumental in driving Ballston BID’s mission forward.
