Ball Janik Doubles Down on Commitment to Portland
Ball Janik LLP recently signed a lease renewal for a 17,348-square-foot 10-year lease in its existing building, One Main Place, at 101 S.W. Main St. in Portland. Signaling its continued commitment to downtown, the firm will not only remain there for the long term, but it will also move from the 11th floor up to the 18th floor in late November/early December 2021.
The firm moved into One Main Place in 1982 as one of its original tenants. The office is located across the street from the Mark O. Hatfield federal courthouse and one block from Waterfront Park.
“Extending our lease, combined with reimagining our new office space in the building, underscores our dedication to the city and to doing our part to revitalize downtown Portland,” said Jim Prichard, Ball Janik managing partner. “As our city emerges from the pandemic, we are still evaluating and determining our timeline and plans for the return to our Portland office, but we do know that we will transform our new space to maximize efficiencies, get rid of the big corner offices, create a more collaborative work environment for our clients and colleagues, and embrace a hybrid workspace.”
The firm’s new office will be designed to create a whole new workplace experience with floor-to-ceiling windows and 360-degree views of Mount St. Helens, Mt. Hood and the Willamette River. It will feature a community room, a wellness room and massage room.
