Balfour Beatty Closes Loan on Northside Third Phase

Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions LLC reached financial close on the third phase of Northside, a mixed-use student housing project serving students attending the University of Texas at Dallas. The $38-million expansion, in conjunction with developer Wynne/Jackson and equity partner Star America, will add 370 beds to the development in Richardson, TX.

The project will consist of mid-rise apartments, situated on five acres adjacent to the other phases on Northside Boulevard. Balfour Beatty will handle leasing and management, as it is doing so for the other Northside phases.

The development broke ground in early July 2019, with delivery anticipated for July 2020. Andres Construction is the general contractor, and Architecture Demarest the lead design firm.
