Baker Tilly Acquires Anchin; Will Relocate Headquarters to NYC

Advisory, tax and assurance firm Baker Tilly has agreed to acquire Anchin, Block & Anchin LL, a leading New York-based accounting, tax and advisory firm. Terms were not disclosed. Reflecting the growing importance of New York to its clients and business strategy, Baker Tilly will establish New York City as its headquarters, relocating from Chicago.

“New York is one of the most important markets for our clients and for the future of our firm,” said Baker Tilly CEO Eric Miles. “Anchin strengthens our presence in a market that is central to many of the industries, entrepreneurs and businesses we serve. Establishing New York as our headquarters reflects our long-term commitment to this market and our continued investment in the talent, expertise and capabilities our clients need to succeed.”

The New York Business Journal reported that Baker Tilly’s new headquarters will be its existing offices at Tishman Speyer’s The Spiral, 66 Hudson Blvd. It’s not yet known whether the firm will expand its space at the property.
