Back Home Hospitality Inks Deal for Restaurant at Mission Rock MXU

Mission Rock Partners, a collaboration between the San Francisco Giants, Tishman Speyer and the Port of San Francisco, forged an agreement with Back Home Hospitality, the restaurant group behind the award-winning Che Fico, to create and operate a new full-service restaurant in the Mission Rock mixed-use development.

The new concept will occupy 8,300 square feet at the northwest corner of Visa’s new global and North American headquarters building. The street-level restaurant will feature a main dining room, a full bar and private dining rooms when it opens in early 2025.

Back Home Hospitality, founded by Matt Brewer and Chef David Nayfeld, who recently received a semifinalist nomination as one of the nation’s most outstanding chefs by the James Beard Foundation, is known for two of San Francisco’s most popular eateries – Che Fico and Che Fico Alimentari – and recently opened their third concept in Menlo Park.

“We are pleased to welcome Chef David Nayfeld and Matt Brewer to the Mission Rock family,” said Tishman Speyer managing director Maggie Kadin. “Their new flagship restaurant will be a world-class amenity for Mission Rock’s residents and workers, as well as a vibrant waterfront destination for visitors from San Francisco and beyond.”
