Axon moving forward on Scottsdale HQ

Axon Greenlighted for Scottsdale Campus Development

The Scottsdale Planning and Zoning Commission has passed Axon Enterprise’s zoning plans for its new headquarters and mixed-use project.

The company that makes Tasers and other law enforcement tools pared back its original proposal of 2,552 rental units to 1,965. The request also includes nearly 50,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space and a 435-room hotel.

The first phase, which will coincide with pulling permits for its 400,000-square-foot headquarters building, is set to include 231 residential units plus the hotel. The second phase would include 365 condos and 262 units no sooner than 2027. The next phase would include 390 units and proceed no sooner than 2028, while the last phase would include 717 units and proceed no sooner than 2029. At build-out, the company expects the project to be valued at over $1 billion.

Axon is the eighth largest employer within Scottsdale, and projects to employ 1,500 at full buildout.
