Avon Calling . . . With a 90K-SF Lease
Avon is the latest tenant to sign a big lease in Downtown Manhattan. The cosmetics company will move its corporate headquarters into 91,000 square feet at One Liberty Plaza, also known as 165 Broadway.
“We were attracted to Lower Manhattan because it is a vibrant and growing area, anchored by the Freedom Tower and the Westfield World Trade Center,” said Scott White, CEO of New Avon.
The 54-story tower is owned by Brookfield Properties. New York State’s Empire State Development helped make the deal happen, offering Avon benefits including Excelsior Jobs Program refundable tax credits to support its expansion.
Other big leases recently signed Downtown include Spotify and the New York State Attorney General.
