Avison Young’s Mirante Brokers Carmel Parcel Deal

Avison Young has arranged the $3.2 million sale of a 12.75-acre development site at 39 Seminary Hill Rd. in the Putnam County community of Carmel, NY. The buyer, Alexandrion Group, will use the site for its first distillery in the U.S.

The site includes a 136,000-square-foot office and warehouse facility, and is part of a larger 50-acre campus. It was formerly the home of GuidePost Publishing Group of the Foundation for Christian Living.

“After a prompt but careful search, we were able to identify this sprawling property in Carmel as the ideal site” for Alexandrion’s distillery,” said Avison Young’s Arthur Mirante. “It met our client’s economic and infrastructure requirements, while providing close proximity to New York City.”

Mirante led a team that included Martin Cottingham and Matt Pynn. The seller was Hinckley Holdings LLC & Covington Development LLC.

Shearman and Sterling provided legal representative for Alexandrion in the transaction.
