Avison Young’s Fernandez Closes 3 Leases, 1 Sale

Avison Young’s Maria Fernandez led four new transactions, including three leases in Manhattan and a separate property sale in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. They include the following:

• A 10-year, 1,314-square-foot retail lease for Hair Lounge hair salon at 668 Sixth Ave. in the Flatiron District. Fernandez represented landlord 668 Ave LLC. Zelnik & Co.’s Michael Peguero represented the tenant.

• A one-year, 400-square-foot retail lease for Shookit Inc. at 896 Amsterdam Ave. on the Upper West Side. Fernandez represented both landlord Light House Properties LLC and the tenant.

• A 20-year, 7,500-square-foot lease for supermarket 312 Food Corp. at 312 Audubon Ave. in Washington Heights. Fernandez represented tenant 312 Food Corp. A&E Realty’s Ryan Chong represented landlord Won Merchandise Corp.

• The $2.1-million sale of 80 Rugby Rd., a 6,000-square-foot boutique multifamily property/mansion in Prospect Park South. Fernandez represented the buyer, 80 Rugby LLC, while Compass’ Laura Rozos represented the Estate of Lucille Nicholson.
