Avison Young Secures 185K SF at S. Florida Office Park

Lease agreements totaling roughly 185,000 square feet have been executed with four companies within the Sawgrass International Corporate Park in Sunrise, FL, near Ft. Lauderdale. Avison Young’s Greg Martin and Justin Cope completed the office deals on behalf of Vanderbilt Office Properties, an affiliate of Chicago-based Vanderbilt Partners and CA Ventures.

The transactions include:
– A 31,714-square-foot new lease with Performant Financial Corporation for the entire top floor of Sawgrass Pointe II (pictured), located at 1200 Sawgrass Corporate Parkway. Cushman & Wakefield’s Tony Jones represented Performant Financial Corp.
– Martin and Cope completed a 60,648-square-foot lease at Sawgrass Pointe II, which was previously leased entirely by Blackberry, Research in Motion, bringing the building to 100% occupancy.
– A 16,293-square-foot expansion and lease term extension with Federated National Holding Company, which now occupies a total of 64,727 square feet of Sawgrass Commerce Center A, located at 13800 NW14th St. CBRE’s Zach Wendelin represented Federated National.
– An 8,456-square-foot lease expansion with Harris Corporation, which now occupies a total of 28,176-square feet at Sawgrass Pointe I, located at 1000 Sawgrass Corporate Parkway. JLL’s Sandra Andersen represented Harris Corp.
