Avison Young Negotiates $70M Sale-Leaseback of Ocala Distribution Center
Avison Young’s Florida Capital Markets Group has arranged the $70 million sale of the Transformco Distribution Center, a 1.9 million-square-foot industrial property in Ocala. The facility is Florida’s largest single-building industrial asset.
Located at 655 SW 52nd Ave., the property is Transformco’s main distribution center for the entire Southeast U.S. region supporting Sears, Kmart, and Hometown stores. After the sale, Transformco will continue to occupy the property.
Michael Fay, Jay Ziv, John Crotty, David Duckworth, Brian de la Fé, Berkley Bloodworth and Emily Brais of Avison Young negotiated the sale-leaseback on behalf of Transform Holdco. The buyer was national industrial real estate firm Reich Brothers, which specializes in manufacturing and distribution facilities across the U.S.
