Avison Young Names New LA Managing Director

A 36-year industry veteran who has served as principal with Avison Young since 2011, Chris Bonbright, was recently promoted to principal and managing director of the firm’s Los Angeles North and Los Angeles West offices, according to Chris Cooper, principal and managing director of Avison Young’s Southern California offices. Bonbright will oversee day-to-day operations as well as work to expand the firm’s team and presence in these markets.

“With his decades of proven leadership and brokerage success as well as his accomplishments in LA’s local business community, Chris is a strategic and well-timed fit for this new role,” said Cooper. “We are confident that Southern California commercial real estate will experience a rapid recovery, fueled by the market’s tech, entertainment, aerospace, defense, life sciences and healthcare sectors.”

Bonbright joined Avison Young a decade ago when it acquired Ramsey-Shilling Commercial Real Estate Services. He has more than $2 billion in sales and leasing transactions in many product types.
