Avison Young Hires Chief Information Officer

Avison Young announced today the hiring of technology leader Mike Hart as principal and chief information officer. Hart will be based in the firm’s Chicago office. 
 
A veteran of real estate services, Hart joins Avison Young from JLL, where he was most recently SVP of data and information technology, leading the company’s technology business partners within all aspects of their operations. He’s also recognized as a skilled public speaker and contributor within the proptech community.

 
“Mike’s unique experience and expertise position him perfectly to lead our IT function while partnering with our industry-leading Innovation team,” said Martin Dockrill, global COO at Avison Young. “His proven track record of developing sales enablement tools is certain to further the breath and strength of our growing platform.”
 
In addition, Avison Young appointed Nina Mizushima to the role of director, cybersecurity, also based in the Chicago office.

About Paul Bubny

Paul Bubny serves as Senior Content Director for Connect Commercial Real Estate, a role to which he brings 16-plus years’ experience covering the commercial real estate industry and 30-plus years in business-to-business journalism. In this capacity, he oversees daily operations while also reporting on both local/regional markets and national trends, covering individual transactions across all property types, as well as delving into broader subject matter. Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
