Avison Young Expands in North Florida, Adds 26 to Team Via Front Street Acquisition

Avison Young acquired Gainesville, FL-based Front Street Commercial Real Estate Group, a full-service commercial real estate brokerage and property management company with operations throughout North Florida. The addition brings 26 new members to the firm.

Nick Banks becomes a principal of Avison Young and managing director of the new office. He will manage day-to-day operations and lead strategic growth efforts in Gainesville and across North Florida, principally in retail. He will also help Avison Young expand its service lines in the market, particularly property management. Banks brings 25 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently as managing director of Front Street, which he founded in 2002.

The acquisition brings the total number of Avison Young Florida offices to eight. The newest office represents the firm’s 59th office in the U.S., and an additional step in it’s ongoing aggressive growth and expansion strategy. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

About Dennis Kaiser

Dennis Kaiser is Vice President of Content and Public Relations for Connect Commercial Real Estate. Dennis’s agency background included firms such as Idea Hall and Macy + Associates. He has earned an outstanding reputation with organization leaders as a trusted advisor, strategic program implementer, consensus builder and exceptional collaborator. Dennis has developed and managed national communications programs for Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, both public and private. He’s successfully worked with journalists across the globe representing clients involved in major-breaking news stories, product launches, media tours, and company news announcements. Dennis has been involved in a host of charitable and community organizations including the American Cancer Society, Easter Seals, BoyScouts, Chrysalis Foundation, Freedom For Life, HOLA, L.A.’s BEST, Reach Out and Read, Super Bowl Host Committee, and Thunderbirds Charities.
