Avison Young Brokers Sale of Multi-Tenant Industrial Adjacent to Rockford Airport

Avison Young has negotiated the sale of a multi-tenant, 650,000-square-foot industrial facility at 4500 Kishwaukee St in Rockford, IL on behalf of HSA Commercial Real Estate.

Chicago-based principals Erik Foster and Mike Wilson, leaders of Avison Young’s U.S. industrial capital markets team, represented the seller. The buyer was a private investor.

The industrial facility on a 35-acre property is located in one of the strongest industrial submarkets in the Rockford area. It has convenient access to the Chicago Rockford International Airport, which is directly adjacent to the facility and is home to North America’s second largest UPS hub.

“This is a coveted airport location and strategic logistics focal point for delivery and e-commerce giants such as UPS, Amazon, and others,” said Foster.

Wilson added, “The proximity to transportation hubs also adds value to productivity, making this an ideal location for manufacturers and logistics companies.”
