Avison Young Bolsters Chicago Team with JC Griffin

Avison Young hired JC Griffin as a senior broker in the firm’s downtown Chicago office. He’ll focus on executing investment management transactions and conducting valuation and advisory services within the firm’s development services and capital markets groups. Griffin will also be expanding AY’s public-sector focus, collaborating directly with development executive Richard Shields, and principals Richard and James Hanson.

Beth Phillips, managing director of AY’s Chicago office, cited Griffin’s “solutions-minded approach and tenacious work ethic.” She added, “His energy, team-oriented attitude and attention to detail make him a tremendous asset as we continue to expand our national development and capital markets efforts.”

Before joining AY, Griffin initiated his real estate career at @properties, where he worked with institutional investors, family offices and conventional landlords on the disposition, leasing and valuation of retail and office assets. Prior to brokerage advisory, Griffin managed personnel, facilities and communications in the public sector.
