Avison Team Named to Reposition 1140 Sixth
Avison Young has been named exclusive leasing agent for 1140 Ave. of the Americas, a 245,864 square-foot office tower located at the corner of 44th Street and Sixth Avenue near Bryant Park. The property’s ownership, New York City REIT, paid $180 million to acquire it from a Blackstone affiliate in 2016.
The Avison Young team in charge of marketing, repositioning and leasing the building is led by principal Todd Korren, along with senior director Brooks Hauf, director Albert Wu, and associates Peter Johnson, Cole Chartash and Rob Nero.
“Our team put together a comprehensive strategy for activating and repositioning the asset, as well as a plan that will attract a wider pool of occupants and increase tenant retention,” said Korren. “We have assembled an outstanding team of Avison Young marketing and leasing professionals for this property, and are confident that this will be an enormously successful assignment when completed.”
