Avison Makes Finance and Strategy Appointments in Chicago, London

Avison Young has made five finance-and strategy-related appointments to enhance the company’s global expansion program.

They include the promotion of Tom Morande to CFO, North America, and Ricardo Jenkins to chief accounting officer; the hiring of Robert Dunlop as global treasurer and Ashwini Sawhney as director of strategy; and the appointment of Steve Cresswell as European director of finance and operations. All but London-based Cresswell will be located in Avison Young’s Chicago office.

The four financial executives will report to CFO Christine Battist. Sawhney will report to chief strategy officer Hiren Thakar.

“These strategic promotions and hires will bolster the team as we continue to deploy a tremendous amount of capital and expand our global footprint through more recruitment, mergers, acquisitions and new-office openings,” said CEO Mark E. Rose.

The appointments are part of Avison Young’s aggressive global expansion program, which began in 2018.
