Avera Preps for 738K-SF Industrial in Houston Area

Avera Cos., based in Houston, acquired 41.5 acres in Pasadena, TX for Bayport Industrial Park. The park, located on the southeast side of the Houston metro, will consist of three speculative buildings totaling 738,610 square feet.

The development is located within Bayport North Industrial Park near Underwood Road and Fairmont Parkway. It is also close to the Port of Houston’s Barbours Cut and Bayport container terminals. Specifications for the property are:

• Building 1 is 176,655 square feet
• Building 2 is 369,755 square feet and is rail-served
• Building 3 is 192,200 square feet

Avera expects to break ground on Buildings 2 and 3 in Q3 2016. There is no word on when Building 1 will go north. Jason Dillee with Cushman & Wakefield is handling leasing for the project.
