Avanta Residential Hires Craig Glass for Carolinas Development Efforts

Avanta Residential has installed Raleigh, NC-based Craig Glass as the company’s director of development for the Carolinas.

Glass is responsible for expanding Avanta Residential’s footprint into the Carolinas by sourcing and developing build-to-rent communities throughout the region. His role includes the coordination of site selections, contract negotiations, overall relationship management, due diligence, and design.

Glass has over 35 years of experience in construction, operations, land acquisition, entitlements, and development. Before working for Avanta Residential, he co-founded a development company and started a consulting company assisting investors with evaluating and acquiring real estate portfolios.

Avanta Residential was formed in 2020 to respond to the demand for lower-density rental housing. It was created from the experience of Hunt Companies Inc., a diversified, family-owned holding company responsible for completing more than $8.5 billion in real estate development and over 70,000 single-family rental homes across the US.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
