Available to Interested Buyer: The 37K-Acre KC7 Ranch, with Mineral Rights
The 37,000-acre KC7 Ranch near Balmorhea, TX in the Permian Basin is on the market — complete with mineral and water rights. A bankruptcy court ordered the ranch to be sold, and Icon Global Group to handle the marketing. The asset, which is approximately two hours southwest of Midland, also includes a 10,000-square-foot stone lodge, which was remodeled in 2007.
The owner, KC7 Ranch Ltd., is under the umbrella of Quicksilver Resources. Quicksilver filed for bankruptcy protection for the ranch in December 2017, and for its other related companies in January 2018. During the height of the Barnett Shale play, the company employed approximately 600 and controlled 85,000 acres throughout northwest and west Texas.
Icon Global is currently accepting offers for the land. The deadline for buyers to submit sealed bids is Nov. 30, 2018.
