Australian Restaurant Chain Continues NYC Expansion with Upper West Side Lease

Global Holdings said Monday that Australian restaurant chain THISBOWL has signed a 1,989-square-foot, 10-year lease at 1880 Broadway on the Upper West Side. After widespread success in Australia, the lease signing marks the restaurant’s continued expansion in New York City.

The restaurant will join a tenant roster that also includes JPMorgan Chase and West Elm. With the addition of THISBOWL, the retail space in the building is now 95% leased.

“This lease reinforces the strength of the property as a destination for dynamic, forward-thinking lifestyle brands,” said Craig Panzirer, SVP, Director of Leasing, Global Holdings. “The building’s prime location consistently attracts top-tier retail and restaurant concepts. THISBOWL’s New York expansion builds on its success in Australia, and we’re confident the brand will resonate with the surrounding community.”

Neal Ohm and Michael Cohen of Newmark represented THISBOWL. Ben Birnbaum, James Panzarella, and Ariel Schuster from Newmark represented Global Holdings alongside Panzirer and Alex Radmin.
