Austin’s Light Bulb Shop Stays Lit with New Tenant

DoubleTake ATX, a curated resale and gift shop benefiting the Center for Child Protection children’s advocacy center, has leased the landmark Light Bulb Shop building, a 2,250-square-foot retail building at 6318 Burnet Rd. in Austin.

Gabe Sanchez and Jeff Lewis with Weitzman handled negotiations for the landlord. The tenant was represented by Lance Morris with The Retail Connection.

DoubleTake ATX preserved the iconic Light Bulb Shop sign, which shows a man with a “light-bulb” moment over his head. Sales at DoubleTake ATX benefit the Center for Child Protection, a services agency for children who are suspected victims of sexual abuse or physical abuse, or who have witnessed a violent crime.
