Line 204 studios in Bastrop should be open next year

Austin-Area Movie Studio Hoping to Open Next Year

204 Texas is on track to open a self-sustained studio and production complex in 2025. A project by Los Angeles-based Line 204 says the studio will be located on a vast 560-acre expanse and is set to be one of the largest studio lots in the country. It will offer an array of diverse filming locations, from dense forests and miles of sandy beach to open green pastures and a picturesque stretch of the Colorado River, just south of Bastrop.

Within the complex will be six studios, two sound stages, a three-story office building, a warehouse with mill space, storage units, and more—including a ranch in the front with a herd of longhorns and immersive sets for visitors to stay the night.

The film studio complex will also offer film-industry-grade production supplies and resources, ranging from grip and lighting equipment to truck rentals and more.
