Auctioneer Bonhams to Relocate to Steinway Hall in Late 2025
Bonhams, one of the world’s largest and most renowned auctioneers, will relocate its New York City flagship to the historic Steinway Hall at 111 W. 57th St. in late 2025. The 42,000-square-foot Bonhams space will feature four levels of galleries and two spacious auction rooms.
111 W. 57th is comprised of two adjacent structures: the landmarked Steinway Hall, once home to the Steinway & Sons piano company and now to Bonhams; and the newly constructed 1,428-foot tower; the second tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere. Bonhams will relocate to both the historic Steinway Hall and its formal reception hall, along with the newly developed, six-story atrium by SHoP architects during the creation of 111 W. 57th.
Newmark’s Jackie Totolo, Pierce Thompson, Adam Weinblatt and Robert Cohen represented the development group of Apollo Commercial Real Estate Finance Inc., JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group. Kenji Ota and Jennifer Konefsky at Cushman & Wakefield represented Bonhams.
