Auburn Gresham Sale Continues Streak on South Side

Essex Realty Group finalized the sale of 7959 S. Ashland Ave., a 20-unit mixed-use investment opportunity located in the South Side’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood. The property closed within three months of listing for approximately $680,000.

Essex director Brian Mond was the broker on the transaction. An extensive marketing campaign was conducted resulting in four offers after just four weeks of marketing.

Situated on the corner of Ashland and 80th Street, 7959 S. Ashland is a mixed-use property comprised of four retail spaces and 16 apartment units. The property is located just one block south of the 79th Street corridor, a popular commercial stretch.

“Investors continue to seek out investment opportunities located across Chicago’s South Side,” said Mond. “Over the last three months we have closed five transactions and listed six more, two of which are already under contract. The tremendous activity across the South Side is exciting to watch.”
