Atlas Metal Works Factory Plans For Property Gets New Life As Owners Apply For Zoning Development

The Atlas Metal Works factory, a fixture in the West Dallas area since the late 1920s, took one step closer to becoming a retail community and retail project, with the owners seeking zoning for a proposed development. The property, located at located at 818 Singleton Blvd., includes six acres at the corner of Sylvan Ave, in Dallas.

The Atlas Metal Works factory, a fixture in the West Dallas area since the late 1920s, took one step closer to becoming a retail community and retail project, with the owners seeking zoning for a proposed development. The property, located at 818 Singleton Blvd., includes six acres at the corner of Sylvan Ave.

The industrial complex is just west of the popular Trinity Groves restaurant campus and is next door to the $400 million Trinity Green apartment and home community.

The property has been for sale since last year with agents at Davidson Bogel Real Estate marketing the site. The Atlas owners, working with Dallas-based apartment builder Lantower Living, are seeking to rezone the property for a new rental community and retail space.
