Atlas Freight Commits to $7M Lease Extension in Otay Mesa

Colliers has arranged a 100,000-square-foot lease renewal at the Piper Ranch Logistics Center in the Otay Mesa submarket of San Diego. Atlas Freight Forwarding, Inc. has extended its current lease at the industrial warehouse facility with a total consideration of approximately $7 million. Colliers’ Chris Holder, Mark Lewkowitz and Will Holder brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant. The project is owned by Ares Industrial Management.

Situated on 31 acres, the property offers direct freeway access with high visibility. The facility features cross-dock configuration, extra trailer parking and secured truck courts with enhanced security and full perimeter fencing.

“Lack of industrial space in central San Diego coupled with heightened demand for warehouse and distribution space near the border continues to fuel leasing interest in Otay Mesa,” said Holder. “Tenants can profit from the increase of cross-border trucking as many U.S. manufacturers continue to shift production to Mexico.”
