Atlanta’s Zinburger Locations to Permanently Shutter
National wine and burger chain Zinburger has permanently closed both Atlanta locations due to the economic fallout from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The chain has two Atlanta locations at Lenox Mall in Buckhead and near Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody.
Zinburger is owned by the New Jersey-based Brian Group, and had operated 16 locations on the East Coast. The chain announced that only three restaurants will remain open, all in New Jersey. Zinburger’s Buckhead location opened in 2014, and the Dunwoody location opened in 2018.
“The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant financial impact on the restaurant industry,” Zinburger said in a statement announcing store closures. “Sadly, Zinburger is not able to reopen all locations as a result of the shut-down caused by the pandemic. We will be reopening our Marlboro and Bridgewater, New Jersey locations as soon as it is safe to do so. We will not be reopening any other East Coast Zinburgers.”
