766 mixed-income apartment project going up in Panthersville

Atlanta Suburb Site for 766 Apartments

Architectural Standard is helming a comprehensive housing project in Panthersville that will entail workforce, senior and market-rate units. The town, which is home to Barack Obama Elementary School (photo), is southeast of Atlanta off I-20.

The 80-acre mixed-use project could include 766 apartments and 107 townhomes.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the apartments would be a mix of workforce (248 units), senior (158 units) and market-rate housing (360 units). The project would also have medical office and retail space.

MARTA is planning a high-capacity bus line near the proposed project to connect Georgia State University’s Perimeter College to the agency’s rail network.
