Atlanta Apartment Venture Targets Teachers, Seniors
Just so there is no confusion, the venture is being called Teachers Village. It is a 457,584-square-foot tower that will rise more than 30 stories near Centennial Olympic Park.
Urbanize Atlanta reports that all 424 apartments will be marketed to Atlanta teachers, other school employees, and seniors. The bulk of the tower—227 units—will be reserved for independent living seniors. The remaining 197 apartments will be considered workforce housing, mainly for teachers and other school employees. Groundbreaking will be this October for the $370 million project to be developed by RBH Group.
Roughly 23,000 square feet of retail space across two stories is also in the works. Cone Street, Ted Turner Drive, and Walton Street downtown bound the site.
Plans call for topping the building with a rooftop swimming pool and sun deck, while other outdoor amenities would include landscaped terraces above the new parking podium.
The construction schedule calls for delivering Teachers Village in 2027.
