Asymmetrical Oaklyn apartments open in Oakland Hills

“Asymmetrical Assemblage” Opens in Oakland Park

Different by design, Newrock Partners has just opened its 11-story apartment complex in Oakland Park. The Multifamily Dive reports the $86 million Oaklyn complex is an asymmetrical assemblage of buildings made to fit a mid-century modern aesthetic. It winds around the edges of two existing bank properties also owned by Newrock, replacing a previous office complex, a short distance from Lauderdale Beach and the Atlantic Ocean waterfront. The project is designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design.

The project consists of 274 apartment units and over 19,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space with tenants including the Pure Barre fitness center and La Birra Bar restaurant, among others. Bozzuto is managing the residential portion.

Units range from studios to two bedrooms, 451 to 1,172 square feet. Amenities include a rooftop deck with a pool, hot tub, cabanas, outdoor kitchen, fitness lawn and views of the surrounding ocean; an indoor-outdoor clubroom and fitness center and a coworking lounge. A sports simulator is coming soon.
