ASU Building New $185M Science & Tech Building

Arizona State University is constructing a new building at its Polytechnic campus in Mesa. Completion is slated for 2025. The Science and Technology Building will rise to three floors and contain 123,000 square feet of offices, meeting rooms, and labs. Labs will also be devoted to additive manufacturing, robotics, cyber manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing and energy manufacturing systems.

The building will be a hub for engineering and technology education, serving as a central location for the new School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks, School of Engineering.

SmithGroup designed the ISTB12 building which McCarthy Building Cos is constructing.

The groundbreaking follows the completion of the similar, $192 million ISTB7 project by McCarthy on ASU’s Tempe campus last year.
