Astellas to Open New Life Sciences Facility in Cambridge
Astellas Pharma is partnering with DivcoWest to build a life sciences facility at 441 Morgan Avenue in Cambridge, Mass. The new facility will encompass two floors and approximately 62,000 square feet. It will accommodate laboratory and office spaces, including the Discovery Accelerator incubator for external collaborators.
With a focus on sustainability and connectivity, the building targets LEED Gold and WiredScore Platinum certifications, offering five outdoor terraces, direct access to a five-acre park, integrated building technologies including smart technology View Glass, three underground levels of parking and a bike room.
“This investment in Cambridge represents a significant milestone for Astellas, enabling us to continue growing our presence in the Greater Boston area and to create additional hubs for innovation and collaboration,” said Tadaaki Taniguchi, M.D., Ph.D., chief medical officer of Astellas.
