Aspen Group Inc. has announced its campus expansion plans for its Aspen University Pre-Licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The New York-headquartered online university is planning to launch a stand-alone campus in Austin during fall 2020.

The organization executed a clinical affiliation agreement with Baylor Scott & White Health — Central Division. A specific location for the campus will be announced within the next 60-90 days, as long-term leases are executed. Aspen Group is also planning a stand-alone campus in Tampa, FL.

In both cases, the company is targeting existing locations that are substantially built out, in an effort to reduce expenditures. Both campuses are planned to mirror the business model implemented at Aspen’s inaugural campus in Phoenix, AZ; including operating a stand-alone campus, running six semester starts per annum (three-day, three night/weekend semesters) and implementing the pre-licensure BSN program as a full-time, three-year program.
