Asana Takes 266K SF at Swig’s 633 Folsom St. in San Francisco

The Swig Company signed a 265,890-square-foot office lease with Asana at 633 Folsom St., a 12-story building in San Francisco. The deal ranks as the city’s largest office lease so far in 2019.

The software company, led by Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, will take occupancy of the central SOMA district space next year. The building is undergoing renovation and expansion that commenced last July, and is expected to be completed in 2020.

Swig built 633 Folsom St. in 1967, and kicked-off work last year to add five stories, a new facade and interiors to the building. The project includes 5,650 square feet of ground-floor retail space, as well as a new plaza.

Asana will relocate its headquarters from 1550 Bryant St. The new office space could accommodate roughly 1,500 employees. CBRE handles leasing for the building.
