There is a proposal for a new stadium in Oakland that MLB’s A’s would share with the NFL’s Raiders, but Lew Wolff, managing owner of the baseball team, is having no part of it. A plan by Coliseum City would have three sports venues plus housing, retail and offices on the site.

But Wolff wants the A’s as the exclusive sports team on the Coliseum City site, saying he does not want to compete with the Raiders for sponsorships. There have been rumors that the team was looking to move to San Jose, but he disputed that, stressing the team wants to stay in Oakland.
