A’s Hire Construction Manager for $1.5B Las Vegas Ballpark

The Athletics have hired Mortenson | McCarthy as the construction manager for the Club’s proposed ballpark in Las Vegas. 

Plans call for a 30,000-seat retractable-roof ballpark that is projected to open in 2028. Reports have estimated the cost of the stadium at $1.5 billion.

The Mortenson | McCarthy team will be responsible for overseeing all construction-related activities, including preconstruction estimating, scheduling and logistics planning, bidding, coordination and management of all craft employees and trade partners, labor relations, and community engagement.

The Mortenson | McCarthy Joint Venture has an established track record in the Las Vegas community. The companies completed construction of the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium in July 2020.
